When will level cap go up?
I'm hoping that eventually the cap will increase, if only a little, and more items will be introduced, with higher max damages. After playing diablo 2 for awhile. I just can't feel good about my character when I say that I'm level 20 with a sweet 6-28 dmg axe. I guess its just the diablo in me.

Diablo this game will never be. At least I sure do hope so.

I thought I'd get people saying that. But I would like to know what the negative effects would be if the cap was increased.
For PvP I see it as being the same experience, just with a different level. And with PvE they could also add more ares with stronger monsters, keeping it somewhat the same. |

But with another persons level increase, and the armor increase, they could make it remain even.

Anet already stated that they want to keep the gotta-level-gotta-level-gotta-level "grind" to a minimum. I, for one, do not see any reason why it needs to be increased. If it's the "same experience, just with a different level" in PvP, then why not just KEEP the current level cap? In PvE, why do new areas have to have "stronger" mobs when all they really need to be is "stronger" than the current cap (and areas such as that already exists even now).

Well, assuming that the cap on attribute points was kept, the next issue would be balance of skill levels. You might start having people working with four maxed attribute sets instead of three, which would lead to some unbalanced combos.
Think of a maxed divine favor/healing/protection monk. Two of those would be extremely hard to counter. |

This has been amply covered elsewhere. In the top right hand corner of any forum there is a text that says, "search this forum". When you click it, a text box opens. Type in "level cap" and you'll get a huge list of topics that cover it. Have fun...you're in for a long read.
And, Humey!? I love Diablo as well....but I don't say that very often. People are pretty icky about the subject. /closing |

Yeah, thats a good point. I'm not saying I'll die, or even be that upset if the cap never goes up. I just wanted to know if it would be terribly bad if it did. As some people seem to think.
